Questions we hear a lot
The ones teachers ask before they try Eduders. If yours is not here, write to us.
Getting started
What is Eduders?
You prepare a test, share a code, and see which question the class missed. A student opens the join page, types the code and their name, and sits the test. They do not need an account for that. The site is in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian, and it was made in Baku.
Does a student need an account or an app?
Neither. A code and a name are enough. They can add an email if they want the result sent there. An account is only for someone who wants their own page, past attempts, chat, or flashcards. It all runs in the browser.
Will the free plan turn into a paid one?
The free plan is 0 AZN, and the basic plan stays free. On the pricing section that means up to 5 tests, joining with a code, basic analytics, and live sessions. Coding questions are not on that plan. Pro is 99 AZN a month, or 89 AZN a month if you pay yearly. The rest of the list is on the pricing section.
Can I sync my lessons with Google Calendar?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Once you connect your Google account, your Google events show up in the Eduders calendar, and lessons you create in Eduders go to Google Calendar. You can add a Meet link to a lesson too. The Eduders calendar itself works without Google, and you can disconnect at any time.
The test itself
What kinds of questions can I write?
Eleven. Eight in a regular exam: multiple choice, multiple answer, true or false, short answer, fill in the blanks, ordering, reading, and coding. IELTS exams add matching, writing, and listening. Reading and IELTS exams are on the Pro plan. A question can include an image. You mark short answers yourself. If you want, the AI can score one against criteria you write, and you can change the mark. You grade coding questions yourself. Not every language runs in the browser.
Will the AI write the exam for me?
You can describe a topic and ask for a draft, including a mix of difficulties. The draft shows up quickly. You still read the questions before students see them. The model can be wrong, and it is not an official version of any curriculum. It works on the free plan too, with a monthly limit. The limit is much higher on Pro. Only the test or question text you send goes to Google Gemini. Your Google profile, calendar, and Meet data do not, and they are not used to train models or for ads.
When does the test actually start?
Students can wait in a lobby. The sitting starts when you start it, not when someone opens the link. If a student joins late, the exam's active window can cut their remaining time. There is a warning one minute before the end.
What if a student closes the page?
The attempt is submitted. Refreshing the page does the same thing. The answers are not lost, but the sitting ends at that moment. Most people expect the opposite, so it is worth saying before the test.
After they submit
Can students see the correct answers?
Only if you turn that on. After they submit, you choose whether they see the score, the correct answers, the explanations, or none of these. A student can also ask for an explanation of a mistake. That explanation does not replace you, and it is not always right.
What do I see after the test?
For that test: how the scores spread, the pass rate, and how each question went. A single percentage does not tell you which idea the class missed.
Does it stop cheating?
No, and we do not promise that. You can shuffle the questions and the answers so a neighbor does not get the same order. That is a fairness setting, not invigilation. On Pro, tab switches and copy-paste events are kept as a log. On the free plan that log is not written.
Your material and a center
Who owns the questions?
You do. What you upload stays yours. Eduders does not claim it. There is no shared vault for a center: a question bank lives on the teacher's own account.
Is there an admin panel for a school or a center?
No. Each teacher has their own account. Groups, an invite link, attendance, and a question bank cover one teacher's work. There is no system that puts several teachers under one admin panel. The Enterprise line is a conversation: [email protected]. SSO, hosting on your own server, and an LMS connection are not available.
